New Swimmer Evaluations
For young kids who would like to join a swim team, but are not sure if they are ready. The purpose of the session is to avoid the frustration and disappointment unqualified new swimmers and their parents feel when they arrive that first day of practice with new suits and goggles and high hopes only to find that they aren't ready to swim for a team. BSA Swim Lessons Young children begin the lesson program at Level 1. In Level 1, swimmers are introduced to water in a comfortable environment where they are taught the basics of air exchange and water comfort. Level 1 swim lessons are offered as a 1a (with parent) or 1b (without parent). Levels 2 through 7 are taught as Group lessons. Level 6 students may enter our Stroke Clinics if the goal is to compete for a swim team. For a complete explanation of each Level, please see our website, or contact Tiffany Forbes at 303-994-5111.
